About iKen

iKen is an online education platform created by Mexus Education to promote learning through entertainment. It offers learning packages based on subjects and allows students, teachers, and parents to collaborate for the all-round development of the children. The app connects subject teachers with students who want to learn to promote better learning experiences from subject experts and the progress of each child is communicated to their parents.

Problem Statement

Design an app that motivates students while providing support, reporting, and clear communication among parents, teachers, and students.

We understood that kids and teenagers made up a significant part of the users of this app. Hence, the designs we create had to be bright, engaging, and encouraging enough to keep the students interested.

That said, parents and teachers also made up a good part of the app’s user group. Based on this understanding, we create the user personas to comprehend their aims and expectations from the app.

The three different user groups of the app needed different features of the app to do their work efficiently. Hence the elements and task flow for all three would be different. We segregated our design process into three groups to focus on each user group separately.
